On February 21, 2024, the Rinkai! anime project shared exciting news about its premiere. The official website and X handle announced that the show would debut on April 9, 2024, airing on Tokyo MX and other networks. At the same time, they unveiled the main visual and a teaser PV for the anime.
Rinkai! is a mixed-media anime project, focusing on reviving women’s cycling. Mixi is the creative force behind it, and TMS Entertainment is set to produce the anime. Additionally, a manga series titled Rinkai! Azalea by Kiyoshi Yamane will be serialized in Amazia’s Manga Bang magazine in the second quarter of 2024.
Rinkai! Women’s Cycling Anime Announces Release Date And Time
The anime is scheduled to release on April 9, 2024, at 11:30 pm JST on the Tokyo MX channel. Following that, it will be broadcast on BS Fuji on April 10, at 12:30 am JST. The show will also be available simultaneously on U-NEXT and Anime Hodai.
Accompanying the broadcast details is a new teaser promotional video for the anime project. This short clip introduces the main character, Izumi Ito, and highlights her determination to excel as a bicycle racer. The PV features intense race scenes and training sessions for aspiring racers, offering a glimpse into the excitement that awaits.
The anime’s theme songs have also been revealed. The opening theme, titled “Windshifter,” is performed by Rico Sasaki, who also plays Tsutsuji Kurume in the anime. The latest PV gives a sneak peek at this energetic song. On the flip side, the ending song, “Override,” is performed by the rest of the main cast.
In addition to the teaser trailer, the main visual for the Rinkai! anime project showcases Izumi Ito and her rival, Nana Hiratsuka, passionately paddling their bicycles. The illustration includes Sachi, Miko, Ai, and Kinusa, all seen working hard towards their goals.

Rinkai! Women’s Cycling Anime Staff
Now, let’s meet the people behind the scenes. Takaaki Ishiyama leads the production at TMS Entertainment’s 6th Studio, collaborating with Maruga Factory. Hideki Shirane supervises the anime’s scripts, and Hiromi Ono serves as the character designer. Lantis is responsible for music production, with Shuichiro Fukuhiro, Mana Hirano, and Yoshihei Ueda composing the series’ music.
The remaining staff includes Ryo Tanaka as the sound director, Niki Higaki as the art director, Yuichi Goto as the CG director, Megumi Uchida as the editor, Haruko Nobori as the color key artist, and Yuko Kamahara as the compositing director of photography.
